Guidelines for presentations

Paper presentation

Paper sessions are 90 minutes, in which 4 papers are presented and discussed. Presentation time is 15 minutes maximum. The chair will monitor the time and signal when 5 minutes (yellow card) and 1 minute (red card) are left. After each presentation, there are 5 minutes for questions for clarification from the audience. Discussion points are to be kept for the approximately 10 minutes for discussion. The discussant will start the discussion by pointing out commonalities/differences in the 4 papers (they have received and read the final versions), and possibly raising final points for discussion with the presenters and the audience.

Each paper session room will be equipped with an overhead projector and a beamer + PC + internet access. If you want to give a powerpoint presentation, make sure to bring your presentation not only on USB-pen but also on CD-ROM (floppy disks cannot be used!). If this is not possible, you can e-mail your presentation to jure2007@server.edu.u-szeged.hu no later than August 18.

Bring some 20 copies of your paper for the audience. In addition (or alternatively), you can bring hand-outs of one A4 page containing the title, abstract, and your contact information, so that people can e-mail you after the conference when they want to read the full paper. There is no printing service offered by the JURE conference organizers.

Poster presentations

Poster sessions are 75 minutes. The poster boards that are available have a height of 200 cm and a width of 100 cm, so they are well suited to accommodate A0 portrait posters, i.e.:

If you want to do this as a powerpoint presentation, make sure to bring your presentation not only on USB-pen but also on CD-ROM (floppy disks cannot be used!).
